Henson possesses a hereditary songwriting aptitude, the son of a rapper who introduced him to the limitless potential and expression of musical creativity. Dylan was brought up in studios — from sock mics to soundboards. It was in the cresting lights of an equalizer that he envisioned a future for himself.

In January 2022, Dylan released Broken Pieces, a ten-track project showcasing his matured R&B-influenced songwriting. The album explores romantic tension, personal responsibility, and inner conflict with layered instrumentation and reflective lyricism. Songs like “Ask Myself” and “Next to Me” highlight his vulnerability and growth as both writer and vocalist. The project premiered on Cleveland’s WOVU 95.9 FM.
